Questionable choices
I was really interested in the Instrument De Vitesse, as I think they look beautiful, however after some digging around, I came across this post from velociphile:

Essentially it appears that Angelus kept some movement parts even though they are not actually being utilized:
"For this Angelus monopusher, to be clear, they are not using the THA045MC, and they have chosen to only have a 1 min chrono to avoid facing the design challenge of cramped dials. Note, Massena’s sympathetic reboot of the ’63 'Medical' cleverly included the 30s register. But, both these retain visible vestigial parts; e.g. minute reset hammer, minute wheel bridge and jewel, intermediate wheel etc. Shame."

I struggle personally with the counters of the
Télémètre family: they are too close to the center for me. My favorite would be the Grey Silverstone Instrument de Vitesse. But I dislike the logo: they should have removed the frame, imo. Best, Emmanuel

And I like the THA based movement. The only somewhat unfortunate decision from my side is that the case size is effectively too large for the movement. It is a bit masked by the telemetry scale but overall the movement looks more harmoniously sized in a 3...

Exactly. Reason why this "family"
is my favorite among the collection. And this particular grey example is my favorite among the Instrument de Vitesse. But the logo bothers me, I don't like it. I would personally remove the frame around it... Best, Emmanuel
Yes, of course, but in this case it doesn't appeal to me:
the less we see the brand name, the better almost every time for me.

I think price would have been different if they had redesigned the calibre.
So, yes, in absolute terms it's a shame, but it might also be a not so bad compromise (just a suggestion). Best, Emmanuel

I find personally the counters to close to the center of the dial (the movement is too small for a 37 mm case, imo). But it's nice nonetheless, of course. Best, Emmanuel
A slight difference...
On the 5070, the counters actually seem to touch the railroad track, and do not touch the centre, providing some "air" between them and the center arbor. Here it's exactly the opposite, and I too find myself in the camp of feeling that the Angelus counter...
I think the way one perceives this
is very dependent upon one’s personal expectations and taste. Centered counters just give the dial a different look and as long as one likes it it’s just fine. Best, Emmanuel
Those really are some beautiful looking Angelus Monopusher Chronographs.
My favourite are the 3 Chronographe Telemetre as they look like they are vintage watches and the dials are just so beautiful and there is just something very special about monopusher chronographs. Marc
