Questionable choices

 

I was really interested in the Instrument De Vitesse, as I think they look beautiful, however after some digging around, I came across this post from velociphile:

Essentially it appears that Angelus kept some movement parts even though they are not actually being utilized:
"For this Angelus monopusher, to be clear, they are not using the THA045MC, and they have chosen to only have a 1 min chrono to avoid facing the design challenge of cramped dials. Note, Massena’s sympathetic reboot of the ’63 'Medical' cleverly included the 30s register. But, both these retain visible vestigial parts; e.g. minute reset hammer, minute wheel bridge and jewel, intermediate wheel etc. Shame."
