What are you driving with such a big v8?!?! I'm surprised you aren't driving an EV in CA, carpool lane Legacy speed limits, decreased driving abilities, and more traffic has really dampened the old "sunday drive". That plus in many locales what used to be a simple speeding ticket is now a misdemeanor / reckless. Not saying we shouldn't be cognizant of safety and speed limits that help with that but we all know roads that are dramatically hampered by archaic speed limits in more rural areas that were made when cars had 200 hp and drum brakes.
Did you ever see the story of the guy who broke up with his gf, sold his business, bought a Gallardo and proceeded to put a couple hundred thousand miles on it?! Not saying all the personal strife is necessary, but driving literally everywhere in a Lamborghini would be amazing. He had no problems with the engine but I think his tranny went. And then there was the guy who has been on a multi-decades mission to visit every country on the planet in his Gwagon, I haven't checked on that story, he probably made it by now, last I saw Mercedes even helped him get in/out of some of the tougher countries. These are the kinds of things I get really excited by. Two things on my dream list are to ship the Cayman to Europe for 6 months and go absolutely everywhere in it, so many amazing places that a subcompact diesel rental didn't do justice, and then if Mexico has sorted out their crime issues I'd love to buy a jeep and drive from the top of Alaska to the bottom of South America. So in your other thread about quality vs quantity, similar to getting a Huracan and putting a gajillion miles on it, I'm striving for 2-3 watches I really like, and then just rack up the miles on them. If they get beaten up and need some laser welding or a new case in the future, sounds good to me.
As for clocks I was thinking a nixie clock of some kind, then I started browsing Atmos options until I remembered I never want to talk to JLC service ever again, entertained MAD options but realized I'm not that cool, so I'm back to nixie clocks. Really I just need to move to a bigger house to make space for the full 6 tube option
