Some companies like Seiko supply straps with a transpiration membrane construction for humid climes. This is OEM for Grand Seiko leather.
Aftermarket suppliers like Camille Fournet also supply such tropicalised straps.

Leather strap
Hello, I am considering buying Master Compressor with leather strap, but I heard that if wearing the watch every day the strap won't last 6 months, is that true? Anybody have any comments? Thanks,
Yes, it is true
Especially in humid and hot climates. Leather straps will last longest if given a day or more to 'rest' after being worn. If you intend to wear a watch on a daily basis, it will be best to have it on a metal or rubber band. - SJX
