... My findings on a watch I have fallen in love with: The Casio G-Shock GMWB5000TB-1 - Titanium. Okay, sure, it’s not exactly a “Purist’s” timepiece, but it is a for-sure beater that can be appreciated. For starters, it has the classic G-Shock case – onl...

... Of watch right there.

it is easier for me to remember an address (and how to get there) than it is to use a watch with all those functions

I'm just geographically adept and push-button retarded. And only willing to invest about 5 minutes in learning how it works. That's why I like mechanical watches. G-Shocks sure look mean though. Cazalea

... Mon ami.

Thought about the TI version...

 By: Ronald Held : August 12th, 2020-12:34
But I own a SS version and the Ti cost is too much.

Had The Stainless Steel Version...

 By: elliot55 : August 12th, 2020-13:36
... Which is also fantastic. And if I'd had known the Ti version was coming, I would've held off. As it turned out, when the titanium one arrived, I gave the stainless steel one to my brother and he loves it.

Actually I wanted the DLC version but settled for the Gold IP...

If I knew the Ti version would be out at a certain dare, I would have held out.

I Think The Gold Version...

 By: elliot55 : August 14th, 2020-10:19
... Is also very cool. Being a "Goldman", I think that's enough gold for anyone. Besides the gold watch my grand dad left to me, I do not own a gold watch. Platinum, Steel and Titanium for this "Goldman".

If I was a Gold guy...

I would opt for the Gold Hamilton PSR.

Intrigued by Gshock but

being a digital... quartz... no matter how glorified or wrapped in elevated metals... it is what it is... maybe I would consider one if I was a mountain climber, etc... but hey... many people buy things that are 'insanely durable' and never really 'test' ...

I Am Actually Quite Surprised...

 By: elliot55 : August 14th, 2020-10:20
... By how much I love this watch. It was unexpected.

Why not enjoy it?

In these times where we all want to feel 'more protected' and align ourselves with some notion or product that makes us feel less vulnerable, 'invincible' etc... it makes sense. no doubt the Ti elevates the watch wearing experience.

Your T-version with positive screen looks fab.

and I am sure the titanium version wears more comfortable than my steel. Very interesting watches this 5000 line. GEO

I joined the Gshock gang recently too!

Hi I've just added a Gshock recently too! Not a titanium one - but still on a bracelet. Went for one on the plastic combi bracelet. Have to say - barely use any of the functions. Like the time synching bit & that's about all I've used. It's light & comfor...

Hey JML...

 By: elliot55 : October 20th, 2020-09:25
... I really like the color combo on that one. Looks great! I almost always use the app to make adjustments to the functions, like the countdown timer, et al. As an amateur chef, what I'd really like is a thermometer function that can connect with a probe...

You never know. With G-Shock what they might add as a function

In your cons you mention that it's not a smart watch. Have a look at the new glide series, think it's got much more of that functionality, it that's what you'd like. Seems to get lots of positive response from you tubers. Cheers JML

Life is too short to not to buy what appeals to you..

No matter mechanical or electronic.
