I have always find Vilhelm watches very cool. For those who may not know, Vilhelm Watches is a micro brand based in Singapore founded by two watch enthusiasts. One of them, Nop Srinara is a big fan of APRO, Offshores and also the Bvlgari Octo Finissimo. Thus you can see the inspirations behind some of their watches. However their previous models were abit too big for me. Therefore I was very excited when they announced the Prism last year especially the skeleton variant as I do not have such a watch in my collection. A 40mm case size, 12mm thickness with a 45 lug to lug length, sign me up!
Fast forward, had a great catchup with Nop, to collect my watch earlier this week and the actual piece is much nicer than I expected.
Some observations after a few days of ownership, I really like the small details found on the dial, case and bracelet.
It is very comfortable as it is a full titanium piece. It also manages to strike a good balance between being light weight and still having the appropriate heft to feel good on the wrist. The 45mm lug to lug length here makes the watch extremely easy to wear on smaller wrists and yet it gives off the strong presence of a bigger watch on the wrist.
For me, it is a complete package which punches above its weight especially when you consider the very reasonable asking price.
Congrats to Nop and Vilhelm Watches on the launch of this beautiful collection. Definitely looking forward to what’s coming next from them.
