My First Mechanical Watch - IWC 325301
Jan 21, 2019,13:14 PM
Purchased new circa year 2000. Worn for a few years and then tucked away as I caught the watch bug, and more pieces came into my life.
But, I'd been thinking about this one for a while, and thinking too about making things simple. Last month while visiting NYC I dropped this off at the IWC boutique. It was a nice visit and we took some time to select a new strap and buckle - I have the original folding buckle, but wanted to try a tang buckle. Making it simple.
Very happy with how this turned out.

Always loved the IWC pilots. Bought a XVI new years ago, but the XV is a beauty, as are some of the earlier ones. Tough to find in great shape now ;-)
I had the white one too

Probably ought to get it serviced and then do a few pics of both together.

I'm going to need to switch to a real camera to hang with you guys. Fortunately, I've got a few... No more iPhone pics from me.
Thanks

Shot with a 12 year old Sony Cybershot, I'm sure your iPhone has a better camera
The Mark XV is by far my favorite...

I'm hoping for IWC to introduce a smaller diameter Mark - even 39mm would be great but 38mm ideal - without date window for their next update. Yes, I know I'm just dreaming.
