the Unitas movement is indeed a strong and beautiful workhorse.

beacause the movement is fully exposed and you can see almost everything. But it’s so complicated that I still can’t quite work out how it works even spending hours with a loupe. 🤣

hence the beat rate of the escapement when regulating the movement for better accuracy. I am no expert, so please some one chips in and correct me if I am wrong.

Beautiful macro shots. But might I suggest a little editing to get rid of the yellowish cast (I'm guess this is from using incandescent lighting). I took your picture and in photoshop elements and using the "remove color cast" tool came up with the edited...

I was trying to give these shots a warm moody feel. Yours is defintely more natural though. Thanks for the suggestion. I will keep experimenting on lighting. 👍
