Let's go DEEP...DEEP SEA, any real deep divers with 500m+ minimum?

Jan 19, 2019,12:50 PM

Let's go very deep and show us your Diving watches which can go 500m or lower...

Like the Sea Hawk I, 7100 rated at 500m

Or even further with the Sea Hawk III, rated 1000m with helium escape valve.

What do you have if you feel like walking the bottom of the ocean?

It would be interesting to see if anyone here has the crazy 5000m version! Cheers, pplater.

Hands up everybody who have visited 60 meters or below.

I have, but I was stupid and don't do that again. In that kind of depth, I have lost two friends. Best, Kari, DM

These depths would kill you before reaching 500 meters.

In real life a 300 m Submariner or 200 m Tudor is enough even for all technical diving. These top depth ratings are for desk divers. Best, Kari

+1

😀😀

As a Divemaster I'm allowed to go 40 m

 By: dr.kol : January 19th, 2019-14:55
and I agree with you about the sensible max depth. In 40 meters it starts to be dark and there is not much to see excluding wrecks. Best, Kari

My deepest is about 6 meters

 By: cazalea : January 19th, 2019-16:51
which I why I decided I didn't need this watch any longer Cazalea ...

That depth is good for snorkelling

 By: dr.kol : January 21st, 2019-01:47
and indeed, a diving watch is not needed. Like I have said many times in the past, a diving watch is pretty much history and good modern watches like all Rolex, Patek 5711, 5167, etc. are all good for the maximum depths of scuba diving. A watch with 50 me...

You are an experienced diver!

 By: dr.kol : January 20th, 2019-03:45
But still, even a Rolex Oyster would be enough for all of your diving. I took this matter up because it irritates me how non-divers are manipulated with the depth ratings. Furthermore, in real life we rely on dive computer plus all other instruments we ta...

Can’t agree more.

But I still have a sea dweller and I don’t do saturation diving at all. What can I say.

If you like a heavy, solid and thick watch

 By: dr.kol : January 20th, 2019-06:13
you probably chose well. Best Kari

i have a funny feeling after 48m [nt]

 By: Gelato Monster : January 20th, 2019-05:44

I am simply scared.

If one would have a reason to come fast to the surface from such a depth, it can become the last voyage. Best Kari

This works

SINNing at 500m

 By: Tick Talk : January 21st, 2019-19:38
This EZM3 has been my daily beater for a couple of years. Rated as a dive watch to 500m, it also has other interesting features: anti-magnetic to 80,000 A/m, argon-filled, copper sulphate moisture absorbing capsule, and low-temp oils good down to -45C/-49...

Oh, now I'm hungry :)

 By: crown comfort : January 23rd, 2019-12:10
very cool Sinn!

Hello dear CC! As you know I have been very fond of sport Scuba diving since I was a teenager in the far years of the early 1960´s so I find this thread most interesting...
