Just for the pleasure of sharing a new catch for my diving watches collection...

... I was lucky to get this Scubapro 500 from the mid 1970’s I feel.

Scubapro is a very well regarded brand of scuba diving gear.

I remember viewing their equipment being used by pros and both Navy and Coast Guard divers of my Country in the mid 1960’s and 1970’s when I started scuba diving as a sport.
Scubapro equipment was rugged, reliable and well priced.

Now these watches with their brand were outsourced. I feel this particular model could have been made by Eterna or any other Swiss brand.

May be Bill or other members could give more info on this watch.

In any case it arrived in good shape and working condition for a watch which is around 45/50 years old!

As a lover of vintage diving gear I find the case back specially interesting.

Cheers! Abel

It’s a great watch from the era and with the ETA 2784, 17 jewel movement with quick set date function if I’m correct.

Congrats my friend! These Scubapro 500s are built like tanks

Looks to be in great condition! A lot of similarities with the Eterna diver from that time. Best Blomman
