JLC watchbox question...

Just received my new 39 mm MUTD in stainless. When did JLC switch to this style of box? I prefer the earlier beige leather iteration. This new one seems a little cheap to be honest.

Personally, I'd rather the manufactures provide more basic boxes than any of the luxurious ones most use.

should be presented as such in my opinion. I’m not talking about some burled walnut box with 7 hand-applied coats of linseed oil and lined with baby white rhino leather. I would just like a box less cheap looking than this current version.

I got my first JLC, a MUT Moon, just over 3 years ago. It came in that type of box so they have been around for at least that long.

Shure, i also buy the watch instead i buy a watch because the watchbox is nice. But when i unpack my watch who is stored in a great watchbox, it give me the total touch.
