Keep the Jlc and save for the GO!

I have both, and they are not the same, you can wear them rotate!

The Jlc is a classical piece from master watchmaking, perfect proportions, clean and very well balanced dial, with a function which doesn’t have at the Glashütte: the complete calendar.

The PanomaticLunar is a modern interpretation of a classical theme of the haute horologie: the moonphase. The watch offers a sporty wave because of the off-centered dial and the great choice of variety of the different colours of the dial.

Both are very well crafted, remember, that only the balance bridge is handdecorated by the Glashutte, everything else is machinery, like at the Jlc. The polishing of the cases are also handcrafted, of course!

Yours,

Adam

JLC Master Calendar vs. GO PanoMatic Lunar

 By: D-TIME1 : May 16th, 2020-22:51
Question to the forum... If one desired the GO PanoMatic Lunar and already had a JLC Master Calendar would they keep the JLC and save for the GO?.... or trade the JLC in to fund GO?... Not sure if both would get enough wrist time in my collection.... I lo...

I second that suggestion, save up for the PML

Getting the white dialed PML would mean it looks too close to your existing JLC. May I instead suggest the grey PML like in Speedie’s picture, or the blue PML, the new green PML, or the killer salmon PML. A dash of color and pizzazz!

Thank you for the reply!!

I figured someone on this this forum would have both!..or have had both at one time... my initial instinct is too keep the JLC because it does have a special place in my mind and was my first JLC! My only worry is that one of them would not get enough wri...

If I had the patience, I'd keep the JLC and save up for the GO.

I personally don't see the two as being similar enough in execution (or movement architecture) to be redundant - especially if you go with a black or colored dial on the GO. I also have to agree with Speedie74: they really don't offer the same complicatio...

I really like the new Master Chronograph Calendar... if i decided on that model I think i would definetely sell the one i have now to help fund it...

Want to see if they come out with any different dial colors!!.. as you have hinted at a possible black dial... -D-

My Brain says to not have similar watches in the collection, as each will just get less wrist time and sit around a lot. My collection says my brain is wrong 😅😂

It also depends on how much you‘ll get for the JLC. If I‘d loose too much and still love the watch / wear it regularly, I‘d keep it.

I think I struggle with the same thing...lol

maybe that is why this question came up....I do think I would loose some money on the transaction so maybe i only trade it in if i decide to go the Nico way and trade or sell for another JLC! Thanks for the input!! -D-

Save up

At this price you will never get another JlC master calendar, keeping in mind the new prices. You bought this piece new, so you know the watch, not like another trade. I have one too, with the power reserve, it’s a pleasure to wear it and I get regular co...
