Interesting and potentially very fun thread! So here's my favorite 'mistake' of all, made by my friends at Patek and enjoyed by myself and very few other collectors for the past 4 years! :-)

Naming Ref. 5177G-010 after the "Cinque Terre," five world-famous small towns located one hour east of "Boccadasse" (a borough inside of Genova, and the actual location depicted on the dial!) is arguably an understandable 'mistake' by Patek, *precisely because* the watch has been assigned to international customers. Still, of course, the name of this reference is technically incorrect!
While I'm occasionally (and generously) given credit for the popularity that Patek Rare Handcrafts have reached in recent years, for sure I'd deserve a free drink EVERY NIGHT by the bars and restaurants in Boccadasse, if this spectacularly beautiful corner of the Mediterranean that nobody knew 4 years ago is now famous the world over! ;-))))
Cheers

It could be a variation. Just like how they have some with the Rolexrolexrolex rehaut, and some with the lug-holes(if my memory serves me right). The 16610LV is among my favourite references from them. Then there are vintage Milgauss pieces without the mi...

...but when I saw the first release of Ulysse Nardin's "Falcon Tourbillon" at one of the SIHH events, the watch was presented with a falcon about to land /perch on the right arm of an Arab. Here's the picture I took then. I was told that the watch was, ob...

This is one giant community of observers, and many of times, just asking or a post with questions yields golden answers like yours. I believe I searched the web for error dials and never came across the Falconer and the Bushido examples, until you mention...
