The watch is very nice and I really like and the brand I love, I have the ceramic given by my dad, that he bought in 1989 and used it for a lot of years, and it’s holding up although it’s quartz.
The interesting part is that in general weekdays and workdays I use more casual and sport watches on the lower end, vs at night and weekends I’ll wear higher end, and your doing the opposite!
On another note is we have taken the Rolex and other high value watches and started keeping it in safes (which I’m not opposed too), instead of using it for what it’s made for swimming, climbing, working, hiking and etc!
New watch - Rado captain cook "ghost captain"
Was looking for something to add to the collection that could fit into low profile (given watch theft going up, plus good for vacation or pool where I had been wearing my sub), dive watch, not large. I have never owned a rado and don't really follow them....
Normally I agree for a weekend watch
Actually during the work week I don't mind the date!

Times changing
For me my submariner was the ultimate vacation watch. Wear in pool, on beach, to dinner. This is partly because this is my only steel bracelet watch. But also because my other watches tended to be nicer. Now people getting robbed for rolex it seems silly....
