A modern Seamaster 300 based on the design of the reference 165.024

With the following specs:

- dimensions: 42mm diameter, 47mm lug to lug, total thickness no more than 13mm

- lyra shaped lugs and asymmetric case

- screw down crown

- ceramic bezel graduated for every minute with the numbers 5, 10, 15, etc. filled with lume and thin font as the first versions of the 165.024

- sword design for the hours hand, baton design for the minutes hand, tear drop shaped seconds hand

- caliber 8912

- sea monster engraved case back

- bracelet design based on the 1039 and 516 end piece with 20mm at the lugs and solid construction

- clasp including a dive extension and easy micro-adjustment of 2 steps, each 3mm apart (allowing for position 0, +3mm, +6mm)


I have always thought that Omega should reintroduce a diving watch based on the 165.024, and the above would be pretty amazing.

It makes me feel uncreative: all I can think of are variations of actual watches. Such as: A Reverso with the 1931 dial and hands but in a smaller, non-ultra-thin case (i.e. Grand Taille). A Patek 565 revamp with full Breguet numerals, luminous hands, and...

Who executes the commissioned watch is no less important than the design itself. If you’re in a position to create a dream, go ahead and fulfill your desire. From my personal experience I can say I’m glad I did. I don’t expect to commission a second watch...

You can visit their website for more info. This watch is as follows: A Rolex Daytona 116508 solid gold is used as the base watch. The diameter is shaved down to 39.5mm. Crown guards are removed Gold pump pushers are created and used. The bezel is handmade...

A Patek Aquanaut no date 5167T with a khaki green or deep black dial (as opposed to the matte black on current standard version)... with a engraved/decorated rotor in platinum

There are a lot of watches I would absolutely love in a smaller size. The DB 28 Digitale, Greubel Forsey Balancier, or Zeitwerk for example.
