compared but I do not think my Hulk, Air King or Milgaus are superior overall to the GS I own. The bracelets on the GS are of very high quality. Where they lose out to the Rolex bracelets is thier lack of

quick adjustability for a perfect fit. The value retention of my Rolexes is impressive but my two GS pieces are doing quite well with value and maximum value retention or appreciation is never a top priority for me.
I do wish GS would incorporate a quick adjust mechanism in their bracelets.

Hard to argue that both offer watches of high quality. Seiko probably has an edge in terms of case finishing and offers a great variety of dials. Bracelets are a big weakness and are not even close to Rolex's offerings. But how about movements? I only tru...

I think they are both great brand...

Seiko’s spring drive are amazing. However for the more traditional mechanical movement I think Rolex new 32xx series are much better then GS...at least for now. I own both brand and they both bring joy of ownership!

No new mensRolex is now likely to be quartz..

I can’t seem to find where Rolex bracelets are superior...

The clasp is more technologically advanced but that’s it. Personally I even don’t like quick adjustment clasps – too big and bulky, they disturb the overall appeal. In terms of quality Grand Seiko is superior in every aspect. Dials are even superior to Pa...

GS bracelets always felt flimsy to me, removing links is a pain, most problematically they look cheap.

Maybe you are right and it is more about the aesthetics. On the quality of the dials it is hard to argue, indeed exceptional. But why do you think that GS movements are superior? Watching the Speake Martin deconstructions that's far from the obvious to me...

Regarding movements I don't judge them as it's very hard to do objectively. I can judge the finishing but not the technological supremacy.

Rolex did a good in the past but in the last decade I think others have caught up and most are equal in terms of reliability now.
