The movements used in these reedition pieces somehow doesn’t feel right. I’m sure that’s the reason why it is reflected in the price, but to me it lacks soul.

I wonder how thick it will be though? Some of the earlier Longines have been 14mm thick, which is too thick for me

This reissue is ace
If this reissue had a 30CH or 13ZN with shock protection, it would sell at least 100 pcs at $15,000 or $20,000 . There’s very little in the way of classic fine watchmaking (chronographs) at this price point today. Montblanc now starts at $30,000. Longines...

Longines seems to be getting the message
Their history is preferable to their present... But we would assume, even with this handsome re-issue, that the movement is 'generic'. I did take notice of this watch, but at the same time, it's such a COPY of the past, that it is somehow uninteresting......
