a few times before. But today it is on my wrist again and DAMN, did they get every single tiny detail right with this watch. I know it is quite under the radar and mostly unknown to the broader public but they got everything right with this watch from the trapezoidal date window over the fluted bezel and the sunray pattern gilt dial to the reliable inhouse movement.

This thing is just so damn sexy...

I can’t stop staring at it.

Such a unique design, it looks like nothing else. With a lot of fantasy it has some Polerouter vibes but it really can't be mistaken for anything else.

Exactly, good eye my friend!

Two other things

I knew that there was a famous baseball player - Honus Wagner who was nicknamed The Flying Dutchman. I googled Flying Dutchman and saw a reference to a legendary ghost ship that was doomed to sail the sea forever, never making port. Interesting.

it was the official wristwatch for the Dutch KLM pilots. A Dutch "Polerouter" is you want from Marvin whereas the Scandinavian SAS assigned Universal Geneve and Gerald Genta to design the Polerouter for them.
