I fully understand your arguments about the vintage models and I’m absolutely agree with you. A big size could be required at that time because the reasons for that were obvious and real

 

But today, that makes no sense for me. 48mm for what? When you drive your Bentley you don’t wear a suit and you don’t need important information for your safety coming from your watch.

I don’t deny the link with the past about big sizes. But for which reasons today. None or just a question of fashion. And big watch case size trend is over (fortunately).
