I didn't get to see the one I wanted neither.

But I did examine a friend's R8 Mark 1 Belt buckle and it was AWESOME. All I can say is, don't examine one. You'll end up acquiring one. I tracked Roland Iten belt buckles for nearly ten years before I really got to examine one. Then, I knew I had to have one! Do you have a favorite yet?  R22?  R8 Driver?  R782?  My favorite is the R22, it allows the finest adjustment, although the shortest adjustment range; as you can adjust the belt's tightness in 4mm increments.

I often get asked at the airport, what belt buckle is that? The security guards are first interested if there's any weapon on it and secondly interested in what makes it so special.

His work....

is highly impressive. I do not know however, regardless of pricing, if I would ever feel like wearing one of those buckles on a regular basis.... I guess I would have to examine and try one in person for at least a short time in order to get an actual fee...

I'm glad you read and responded! Knowing a little bit about you, I think you'd really like this...

I think this belt buckle would be right up your alley! And once you get it, you'll want to wear it on a regular basis. They make a cool blue one that has been featured on Chronopassion's Instagram page many times. It's a blue "R782" model from Roland Iten...

Has he ever helped design a whisky flask?

Mike ...

I don't know. I don't think so. Did you hear if Roland Iten was involved in your flask?

 By: patrick_y : November 23rd, 2018-00:20
I really liked that whiskey flask. I know you had some problems with it and it was very very expensive. But I did really like it. Sometimes I wish I had gotten one. I spoke with Felix Baumgartner of Urwerk this year about the wiskey flask during my interv...

R8 is a classic!

 By: patrick_y : November 23rd, 2018-09:57
I was initially thinking of procuring an R8. The R8 can lock at two positions; 0MM or 35MM looser (or 35mm tighter, depending on how you look at it). This 35mm is the design afforded by traditional tailors (two big fingers) to allow some comfort in one's ...

Very interesting and those buckles are beautiful things...

...but as an Englishman of a certain age, the idea of wearing a belt buckle covered in diamonds, particularly with a suit, is.....just wrong. Also, I don’t fancy getting mugged for my trousers! Regards Kev.

They definitely have non diamond ones.

 By: patrick_y : November 23rd, 2018-00:48
We definitely don't want anyone going after your trousers! The typical one is the R8, and those don't usually come with diamonds unless by special request. The R8 has a 35mm adjustment range, but you have to use the entire range. I don't fully expand 35mm...

The Man choose FPJ [nt]

They're good friends...

FPJ and Roland Iten are good friends; the special adjustable belt buckle for FPJ was made and designed by Roland Iten. Every time I have seen the artist, he's always been wearing an FPJ timepiece.

Impressive toy.
