One famous watch collector and very famous journalist was asked if his watches were insured. He said they weren't and that he had the meanest 6 kilogram dachshund dog who guarded his watches. Obviously he was joking.

Nico's story is appalling. I wonder how things would have gone had the watch been insured and the rightful owner would have then been the insurance company. I assume they would have sent their legal team after this.
