What are the dimensions (width and thickness)?

40mm diameter and 12.86mm thick...and an acrylic crystal (!)

 By: vitalsigns : March 15th, 2019-12:47
Overall great dimensions, and not too thick, all things considered. Handwound movement Limited to 1,959 pieces

Never been my cup of tea.

Those dials, they are making me dizzy.

Always handy when your pocket calculator runs out of batteries.........

........kidding. I did my private pilot license many years back when living in NL (Hilversum Airstrip) and this is the way we did our flight calculations back then. And I was a member of AOPA. And I never liked the pandas, so I always knew it had to be th...

already on my wish list!

Tritium? [nt]

 By: kjkt3 : March 15th, 2019-15:26

I have had a question about tritium dials for sometime now,

 By: JTCL : March 15th, 2019-20:25
I wonder when they have been disallowed and if there are any concrete rules that forbid them?

That is a shame, tritium itself is mostly harmless in watch application and tritium patina is a thing of beauty.

 By: JTCL : March 16th, 2019-03:51
I wonder if there are regulations that govern the use of tritium or whether it is by the watchmaker's own discretion that they do not use tritium?

Limited to 1959 units...

I like it, but not sure how hard it will be to get my hands on one.

1959 is a big number. Should be ok.

A killer

I clearly like the fact that tried their best to stick to the original while putting some modern confort on it (calibrer with more power reserve, a bit of water-resistance etc.). I put myself on the Paris' boutique. Let's see what comes out of it

I dunno...

 By: Mostel : March 19th, 2019-13:49
Maybe because it is essentially an exact copy... BORE. No creativity. Anyone can copy something... Yes, I understand it may become a collector piece, but... copying something.. is I dunno... uninspiring and has a sedative effect to me, personally. Should ...

You're right but...

 By: eklektik : March 19th, 2019-15:38
... Aston Martin built brand new classic car, same with Jaguar, and they all sold extremely quickly, even being on road legal. There is clearly a market and Breitling would be silly not to take it. Especially with the Navitimer: who seriously want a new "...

It depends, Mostel. IF it houses a new manual winding in house movement, that would be a great point. If no date, this is another good point. In my opinion, there is some place for innovative watches, and re edtions.

 By: amanico : March 19th, 2019-16:09
Now, if you stick only to re editions, yes, it can't be very interesting... I agree. But if you take both ways, why not? Best, Nicolas

Exactly my thoughts

 By: jmpTT : March 20th, 2019-05:11
Old one is for collecting, reissue is for wearing without worry. Assume modern one will also be produced to a higher overall quality. Reissues are not interesting to follow as a general collector because they’re nothing new. As a prospective owner, it’s a...

Wow

Never expected to see this one reissued, because I’m naive. Look forward to more details.
