I agree on the bracelets’ lacking tapering. It’s the only criticism I would also have, although they are compact enough to be elegant

Great to hear the SD wears so well! I once tried it and seemed immense due to the bulk, although the diameter is very ok in theory.
Maybe I need to try it on again.
Thanks again and have a great day!

Steel Brothers...

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 21st, 2020-20:11
Unfair to post on either forum so post in HoMe. 5 vs 5....Which side do you prefer? ...

Wow impressive!

 By: quattro69  : May 21st, 2020-20:32
I’ll take the blue Sky dweller

Very nice! I like steel watches too!

 By: patrick_y : May 21st, 2020-20:44
Gold watches are super nice. But I'm perfectly okay with steel!

Ahh [nt]

As a set, Omega. Individual pieces, Omega..

 By: Echi : May 21st, 2020-21:33
Not a big fan of daytos, hulks, gmts and SDs in general but if tweaked while staying within the lineup.. Change the white dial dayto to the black Change the Hulk to a Kermit or a 114060 Change the Pepsi to that discontinued 2-tone YG GMT (I'm a child of t...

It’s all about having fun, glad you had it...

I’m also puzzled by the Trilogy set value and can only blame Omega for the limited edition game they have been playing. The Rolexes may be higher volume than some Omegas yet more “desirable” but anyways....let’s not get into the resale discussion. In term...

I will take a Swiss approach and say it’s a tie ☺️

 By: agyzace : May 21st, 2020-22:22
The trilogy pieces are awesome. The SD is interesting but unfortunately way too bulky. The GMT’s are very useful. Thanks for sharing this cool steel group! Alex

I should add....Swiss Steel Brothers 😅

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 21st, 2020-22:27
Actually the SD at 42mm is quite ok even for my almost 7” bony wrist. The Trilogy bracelets can be a little better if it’s got some tapering and less bulky clasp. You’re welcome Alex.

I agree on the bracelets’ lacking tapering. It’s the only criticism I would also have, although they are compact enough to be elegant

Here’s my other post on the SD last week...sits ok.

Have a great weekend. Cheers 🍻

That’s a very nice line-up you’ve got there.

 By: George Gently : May 21st, 2020-23:38
Main attractions are the Sky-Dweller and the 50th anniversary Speedmaster with shoe print on it’s back. By the way, the Sky-Dweller is much less bulky, even rather elegant on the wrist, to my experience (wrist size circa 19-20 cm). Thanks for showing. Reg...

Thank you for your kind words...

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 22nd, 2020-07:16
I agree too the Skydweller wears ok on my wrist and not that bulky, but it’s shows bigger relative to the other 40mm Rolexes. Thanks for looking George.

The Rolex here. [nt]

 By: amanico : May 21st, 2020-23:51

I'm just teasing you :) [nt]

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 22nd, 2020-10:16

From the looks of it...

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 22nd, 2020-07:18
I agree Rolex is more colorful.

Be cautious...

 By: mrds : May 22nd, 2020-00:19
People will kill for this top row! A perfect group of siblings here. For these sports/tool watches, my vote goes to Rolex. But you have some heavy metal Omegas as well here, they don‘t need to hide at all! Cheers, Daniel

Oh no....I’m in danger :)

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 22nd, 2020-07:23
That was kind of my initial concern about Rolexes since it’s easy to recognize but their built quality is so good so I start having a few more. No hiding for me as I wear and rotate all my watches. Thanks Daniel.

Recognizable

 By: mrds : May 22nd, 2020-09:08
Absolutely, they are all icons: the Sub, the GMT, the Dayto. But put them on a Nato, and nobody will recognize them as a Rolex! I was really surprised to see the different reaction of almost everybody. Makes me wonder of how much of Rolex‘s brand value ac...

I never like the maxi-case of new subs and GMTs. So Omega for me.

 By: hoseachandra : May 22nd, 2020-02:09
If it were between explorer 1 , datejust, vs omega then its even.

The new Maxi case is kind of sharp on the case edges...

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 22nd, 2020-07:13
I also like the Oysters, smooth.

Thank you Sir...

Yes, I’m a conservative and stable kind of person too.

Alaska is “polar”izing :)

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 22nd, 2020-07:11
Surorised you didn’t mention the Hulk like your avatar name 🙄

I tried the hulk when it came out, there

 By: Hulk : May 22nd, 2020-11:44
were no waiting lists and the AD offered 10% off! Just didn't suit me. The Hulk for me refers to the real Hulk from Marvel. I'm a silver age comic fan and collector. Plus it's nice my two sons have a similar interest we can chat about. The first Hulk was ...

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 22nd, 2020-12:51
And I have a feeling it’s not coming back...this recent pandemic has dented it slightly and not causing it to collapse is very very surprising, given the bad news here and there. Good for you with common interest with your kids...my is Fornite only which ...

Superb collection!!

 By: jkvs : May 22nd, 2020-02:48
I‘d take the Seamaster 300. Or all together 😉

Omega has their fans 👏🏻

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 22nd, 2020-07:01
SM300 is a handsome watch.

I knew it....you’re bias, lol...

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 22nd, 2020-06:59
Alaska or Snoopy are indeed a special one in the Omega lineup. Silver a Snoopy train is gone, but Alaska no yet.

Not a fair matchup...

 By: myles721 : May 22nd, 2020-06:19
No Seamasters....

I really like your Omega collection but this time I would have picked the Rolex collection.

 By: FRAMII : May 22nd, 2020-08:02
I’m waiting on three of them from my AD maybe in 2025 😂

I love your WT collection.....I'm waiting for just 1, any 1 PP WT 5x31 whatever I don't mind the color....

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 22nd, 2020-08:28
AD said, forget about it, in my grave ) so maybe I just I might just horse trade these for one 5131P.

My last bought Rolex was 26-27 years ago. Thats why the long wait. Regarding my main focus Patek I have to wait as well but I have built up a better relationship with my AD then for Rolex.

 By: FRAMII : May 22nd, 2020-08:33
My 5131P is my kid’s problem will not be traded or sold in my lifetime... hopefully you will manage to get you 5x31 J, R , G or P one day very soon.

I totally understand all these relationship things between ADs...

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 22nd, 2020-10:19
hence I can get my hands on these at retail. Hopefully so I can have a WT enamel soon and Thank you so much for the wish, cross my toes. To be honest, I will probably missed these SS as they are my daily beaters.

There is nothing ‘clueless’...

 By: pplater : May 22nd, 2020-08:57
...about this collector! Great lineup. Any will do (thank you), but the Alaska Project has cool cred. Cheers, pplater.

I call myself clueless because I'm following the herd....

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 22nd, 2020-09:35
and lucky enough to secure all these through my AD and boutiques Alaska is bought from another owner and of course, huge premium but like you said, it's cool and worth it. Thanks pplater!

Rolex for me! [nt]

 By: KonaJ : May 22nd, 2020-10:24

Bottom row for me, thanks! [nt]

 By: Brandon Skinner : May 22nd, 2020-11:42

You wouldn't have guessed it, Raymond, but . . .

 By: Dr No : May 22nd, 2020-12:40
. . . I have a thing for jubilees. As they say, to each his own 😌 . . .

Haha....you probably noticed, that’s my only Jubilee ...

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 22nd, 2020-12:47
And I used to saying that’s for senior “uncles” but I’m one of them now 🤣

OMEGA all day for me...

 By: D-TIME1 : May 22nd, 2020-22:39
not to say that this isn't an impressive Rolex lineup! The Daytona and Sky Dweller are top!! had to steel the slang from this forum!! Thanks for sharing and enjoy the weekend! -D-

Omega is hard to beat with its roots deep in space...

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 23rd, 2020-07:36
And ocean...Cheers D.

Nice collection

By: Jari from Finland : May 23rd, 2020-09:34
I like them all. There are watches which are not so easily available, but naturally it is not the most important thing in the watch collecting.

Omega on the other hand are available...

 By: Clueless_Collector : May 23rd, 2020-10:17
But then you know how it goes...human nature, most people wants something not easily available, wonder why? Thanks for looking Jari.
