I was doing a little yard work and got thinking... About how so many people are afraid of their watches these days. Perhaps it is due to the "flipping culture" or seeing watches as an "investment" but the aversion to living with your watches is a head scr...

Love it!

Amazing!

This made my day. I can dream of doing this soon.

Maybe a shark comes up

 By: Cookies : October 7th, 2021-16:54
I had a great white shark encounter once while swimming. It was harrowing.

Ooo

Love the adventures.

North Pole …

 By: Cpt Scarlet : October 6th, 2021-21:40

Thank you 🥶

Fantastic shot!!

 By: BigFatPauli : October 6th, 2021-22:41
And the fact that you've actually been to the north pole is really amazing. It's on my bucket list.

Wow! When was that?

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : October 6th, 2021-22:47

Outstanding shot!!!!

 By: aperna : October 7th, 2021-00:15

Amen brother!

Kind of like having a fun car and never driving it for fear of dirt. I've always promised myself that if something is too precious to enjoy as intended, I'll just skip it. Others may disagree and that's fine too. Kent

I've said before...

 By: mdg : October 6th, 2021-22:03
...that I have a friend who wears his Patek 5120 to the gym 4 or 5 times a week, leather strap and all : )

Your friend is a Boss.

 By: BigFatPauli : October 6th, 2021-22:42

He is indeed...

 By: mdg : October 6th, 2021-23:32
....he flew fighter jets from carriers in the '70s : )

Bravo Paul!

By: Chronometer (aka yacomino) : October 6th, 2021-22:48

Grazie!

 By: BigFatPauli : October 7th, 2021-17:18

I do what I do with what I am wearing.

 By: BigFatPauli : October 7th, 2021-17:19
My watches should conform to my life, not the other way around is how I see it.

Indeed.

 By: amanico : October 7th, 2021-21:55

Amazing activities

 By: Cookies : October 7th, 2021-05:41
This is truly the spirit of watch loving

Fantastic! Now strap on a 5170 and do it all over again :)

 By: BigFatPauli : October 7th, 2021-17:21
Save the swimming, of course.

About seven years ago I realized...

 By: destrodan : October 7th, 2021-02:06
...that if any one of my watches takes mindshare - worrying rather than enjoying - then it's time for it to leave my collection. As others say, life's too short and we only have so much time. No need to worry about what's supposed to be an thoroughly enjo...

Apologies for too much me, too little watch in this photo...

 By: blau : October 7th, 2021-02:30
but here I am in Yellowstone National Park in June, wearing my Journe Octa Sport just as F.P. intended! ...

And you know what, I am positive the watch survived!

 By: BigFatPauli : October 7th, 2021-17:22
They are tougher than people give them credit for.

I have to give you credit!

 By: blau : October 7th, 2021-19:37
You can see from my latest post that I wore my Patek 5110 for the bike ride to work today (and am about to get back on the bike with it now!). I often wear something a little tougher when I'm planning to bike but it's thanks to you and this thread that I ...

Totally agree with you. I too have no safe queens… what’s the point?

 By: Monopole : October 7th, 2021-02:48
Beautiful watch you have; keep posting 🥂

Thank you!

 By: BigFatPauli : October 7th, 2021-17:22

Yes, absolutely agree. I wear all my watches, no safe queens here!

 By: ZSHSZ : October 7th, 2021-03:34
Same as others, if I’m scared to wear it, it’s not fir me... They serve me, not the other way around!🤷🏻‍♂️🥂

MB&F in the garden? NO, but how about IWC in the worm bin?

 By: cazalea : October 7th, 2021-03:49
Diver in the bin -- but only 6 inches, not 2000M Perpetual in the oyster bed Perpetual in the wine glass (it was water, not wine) as the Leap Year jump was in progress Cazalea ...

Well, at least I wore gloves :)

 By: BigFatPauli : October 7th, 2021-17:23

Wow this is truly the way

 By: Cookies : October 7th, 2021-05:39
Using the MB&F like a daily wearer.

😛

😉.

 By: Mary Anny : October 8th, 2021-18:29

I envy you . I try to wear all my watches as much as possible but i am very careful with them tbh .

 By: Watchonthewrists : October 7th, 2021-10:06
When doing something (work on a car or at the house ) I always take off my watch . I even hate it when there is a fingerprint on it 🤷🏻‍♂️ . I hardly sell any of my watches but still try to keep them as fresh as possible.

The first dig always hurts, but only for a minute.

 By: BigFatPauli : October 7th, 2021-17:25
Life is short so go on and live it!

For me the key word is respect.

 By: Uncle Chico : October 7th, 2021-14:31
For the watch and the activity. Tool watches for active endeavours and dress watches for social occasions. But kudos for wearing MB&F while gardening. That's what I call spezzato!

If it’s too precious to use than it’s too precious to own..

At least that’s my philosophy. Cutting some wood for the winter. ...
