Horological Meandering

Has anybody ever heard of this “Cortébert”brand? I just inherited this watch from an uncle who bought it new in the 1950’s ( so the story goes). I think it’s a pretty cool watch and would like to learn something about it. It’s small (34mm) and is a manual...  

Indeed there was a Cortébert brand. Even Rolex used Cortébert 8 day movements for some of the very first Panerai watches. I think It is your watch, but I would recommend you to ask your watchmaker not to polish anything and maybe a light gentle and carefu... 

This watch may not have much of a (financial) value, but it does not appear ( or feel) like “ junk”. I would like to have it serviced by someone who understands what it is. I live in California. Does anyone know who could treat this watch with care and re...

You've inherited a lovely vintage triple date timepiece w/moon phase. The guilloche dial is stunning. Applied (it looks like) numerals and indices… Marvelous! You bet you should invest in a complete service. Although probably not the multi-day movement me...
