great topic, something that brings me and SheWhoMustBeObeyed closer

May 01, 2013,07:48 AM

SheWhoMustBeObeyed aka SWMBO was very disinterested in watches, but she recognised and witnessed how horology and collecting has influenced my lifestyle and recreation, and we started coordinating, mostly at my prompting. Now she attends events, was at SIHH this year, and has now built up a collection of about 20 pieces, which were all chosen by me though smile

couples...this cross pollination is very healthy, and even useful for the relationship!! and the best "side effect".....your partner will not bother you surfing Puristspro for hours, at least she believes now its not porn you are after!!

On our way to SIHH....

Lange limo...SWMBO likes being ferried around

Hers/His :Lange One from 1994 and Lange One Tourbillon

In Milan post SIHH, Lange One with Lange Doublesplit

Once upon a time in Florence...paying hommage to the Panerai homeland and history...with 339 and Bronzo

Of course SWMBO must fly the Indie and AHCI flag too, given that its my passion and I moderate that said forum!! with MBF HM5 and HM2.2

Hers/His... GP Chrono and Corum Golden Bridge

meeting Richard and Maria Habring...naturally with our Habrings...Chrono and piece unique Repeater.

best, Horo

You have touched on a nerve that resonates with me, and I am sure with others. Watch collecting can be an extremely lonely passion when your life partner shows absolutely no interest. Even taking your partner on a watch shopping spree where they can choos...

I don't need to do anything. My wife loves watches and digs into my meager set from time to time. Just like me, she experience "phases". Currently she is into complicated dials and hands and her day-to-day one is a Longines: This one is somehow special (t...
