Both were priced similarly (I don’t know if it’s still the case) and I wanted to be sure which I preferred. And, despite the beauty of the 1815 caliber, the CdV won: it felt so much more dynamic and lively to me. Best.

The 1815 movement and dual are spectacular and as a fan of the flyback complication it is very attractive, yet visually I find myself pulled more towards the VC. I tried the steel CDV once and it was lovely on the wrist, if a bit small.
For me CDV has better size and lugs, while everything else (movement, dial overall, dial markers, hands...) I prefer in Lange. My own solution to that dilemma? Dato 1st gen.
All of this is of course just down to personal taste and preference, but the lugs the pushers and lastly the dial layout and markers all make it the best choice for me. Sorry and I know it's very controversial and I really don't want to upset anyone but A...
While both movements are nice in their own right, the dials are to austere maybe even underwhelming , however on the PAtek the dial is complex with the beautiful hand polished Breguet numerals and the sensual printing and elaborate numerals. At this level...
It’s the VC for me solely based on the drooping sub registers on the ALS. I like the balanced dial on the VC better. Just my personal opinion 👍. Thanks for posting.
