Felony assault was actually lower in 2020 than it was in 2019 for NYC. Murders went up, but, as shown earlier, remained one quarter of their peak in the early 1990s.

Crime has dramatically decreased in NYC even as the population has gone up.
As for the rest, a New Yorker would know how little respect those who stayed have those who left.

I see that you are from NY …I grew up there and put in 30 plus years including 9/11. You are entitled to your opinion. I don’t recall the wholesale looting of stores in the 80’s or 90’s.

assaults down but rape is up. This is a quality of life issue and as I said unless you have put in the time I have (my whole life) you do not get to judge my opinions about NYC. Have a nice day.
