Old one is for collecting, reissue is for wearing without worry. Assume modern one will also be produced to a higher overall quality.
Reissues are not interesting to follow as a general collector because they’re nothing new. As a prospective owner, it’s a different story. If the original is enjoyed 60 years later, the reissue is likely to have lasting power in your collection, provided all deviations from a slavish replication are in the higher quality direction. Nobody wants to own an inferior copy.
