It's a great vintage diver, from one of the most desirable periods in history for these types of watches. Why wouldn't fans of divers be drawn to it? 
I think the dial is extremely attractive, and the unusual hands do not bother me in the least.

there are actually a huge number of 36mm SC’s, but they are often from brands no one has ever heard of using so not overly collectable. this is one of the few good brands to use the smaller case. best Graham

A lovely watch the Benrus, I've actually handled one - although many years ago - and it is a quality watch. Given the military pedigree of Benrus it is a great addition to your theme.
