Because you seem to be asking for others' opinions...

I have 100% confidence the AE is executed brilliantly because it's a Chopard. Chopard, despite the suicide-inducing resale value... makes extraordinary watches of exquisite quality.
BUT I just do not like this watch at all. The Romans, the date at 5... the dated (yet not timeless) bracelet design... even the case... just do nothing for me, and the bezel looks also dated --yet not in a good way--the treatment of the screws and smooth finish make me think of an 80 year old uncle's watch from the 80's... shrug... and as an owner of an RO Jumbo and former owner of Nautilus... and lover of steel bracelet sport watches... Rolex, Seiko, on and on... Someone who would LOVE TO LOVE this watch--I just do not find design features here that appeal to me. It's a 'pastiche' of design elements that do not add up to a sum greater than its parts, IMO/.
