Nothing bad so say about it. Most of their models are ETA based movement with soprod module for the complicated models. They came out with their own movement around 2 years back which is elegant but not at the the price point I would consider. Ballwatch was revived some where in 2000 or earlier in New York and shifted to Swiss (If my memory served me right). They changed their CEO a few time which included Big Bang CEO at 1 stage (if I did not get it wrong). Lume wise, it awesome fr first 3 years but it really faded away after that. My oldest ball watch ( Engineer Hydrocarbon II) is over a decade old and still one of my daily beater, despite it just came back from full servicing recently due to me accidentally breaking the watch stent.

You can contact Jeff Hess of Old Northeast Jewellers in Tempa, Florida, (just google him) he can fill you in on ballwatch.

Hello Thomas. I'll weigh-in here. I'm a Ball advocate, though of late I've been turned off by their sales strategy.

To begin, you should read my longish post, "The Enviable Accuracy of the Ball Engineer II Red Label Chronometer GMT….." (search under Horological Meandering). This details (uh… that's putting it mildly) my own experience with a model no longer in producti...

I had two. They were well made, used good eta movements that kept good time. When both were fairly new, if I had them both in my bedside drawer and opened it at 2am the whole

drawer was illuminated. That brilliance does fade over time though. 15-20 yeears down the road they are still readable but far dimmer. Eventually the tubes die. They have too many models. I know a large store owner who was an AD and about 7 years ago (gue...
