Annual Watch Review. Watch goal for 2019 NOT achieved! As the year began I thought I really needed to pair down but this year I've gone in the other direction more than ever!

Over the past few years I would let go of a piece only to replace it with 2 or 3 others. This year more have arrived than ever and None have left. As a collection distills down to keepers letting go becomes increasingly

more difficult. This is half of this year's acquisitions. The more significant ones but does not include a recently purchased RG Parmigiani I'm still waiting on. Initially I was going to chime in on a "watch of the year"
post but then I realized the opposite is true since for me this is the Year of the Watch. Also I'm not sure which of these I'd pick but if push came to shove it might be the crazy red dialed "Autumn" High Beat.
Uh-Oh.... wifie just reminded me it actually IS the titanium Seamaster 300! ;-)
While I may have failed at reducing inventory at least I have succeeded in living up to my moniker!

Group Portrait..

It all started with this Air King.

A month or so later I couldn't resist this ltd ed Snowflake. Blue dials are a "problem" for me and besides, I needed a GS in my collection.

#3 was this ltd ed High Beat. Evidently man can not live by Spring Drive alone!

#4. Pam 933. Limited, I already have 2 Luminors and besides.. Its BLUE!

#5 showed up on Christmas morning! Wow! best present Ever! .. and Blue to boot!

However, since this is the last day of '19 I'll have to briefly deviate from the new ones and go with this olde but goodie. HAPPY NEW YEAR Everyone! smile

Blue dial kryptonite rendered you defenseless many times in 2019šŸ˜‰. Looking forward to seeing you in 2020. Hope you and J have a great one tonight!

But then 25 or 30 of your watches would go invisiblešŸ¤£

Well, I didn't start '19 thinking I needed to . . .

. . . pare down, but by the time football season started, indigestion had set in with several more arrivals than departures. ;-) The Watch Gods are smiling on you, IDBOT. Keep up the good work! HNY, Art

Up 'til now I've never really had a limit . . .

. . . but at some point in the last few months there's been this pervasive subliminal sense that the collection has grown beyond my comfort zone. KInda like the national debt . . . it's hard to tell objectively when one's accumulated too much debt (or too...

I couldn't have said any of that better! Yes, there is a big red (STOP!) light flashing but its always easy enough to question the validity or necessity of

being "prudent". Hopefully when subliminal uneasiness reaches its threshold we'll recognize and act..... adapt! Ultimately we like watches, that's why were here!
