A Little GTG, or was it a soirée?

Jan 21, 2023,01:35 AM

It was in a private location, there was conversation and music.  There was even some hard alcohol.  So maybe it does qualify as a soirée!

But eff me if there wasn’t some epic watches too!

Will let the pictures do the talking.  This is just a sample and I’ll let others post more if they wish.

Thanks to the organizer for the hospitality, and to the small crew that made it.  Nice to meet several folks for the first time in person.  We didn’t solve any of the worlds, or NYCs, issues despite some efforts to do so.  Next time, we save the world 😂

Here are some pictures.

This one is for Nicolas. JLC coming in hot and heavy.

The HM3 has been a long time favourite horological machine for me.  It wears incredibly well (I have a small wrist).

Not much to say here, this was obviously the star of the show.

My first time handling this Vacheron. A beautiful watch, for me on this viewing so much more than any modern calatrava.

It was great to meet some local WPS members and to start the weekend off with some amazing watches! It's so different to see and handle people's personal watches, a watch that might seem cold in a boutique is so much more interesting and characterful when...

Sorry I had to miss this one, but I had to travel.

Happy to see and chat with everyone- and the watches!!! - they were all so lovely. First time seeing a GB in person and a MB&F. Hope we can do more in the Big Apple soon!

It was a crazy range; from a Moonswatch to the GF.

From what I recall we had Swatch, Omega, Cartier, Vacheron, Patek, JLC, Ochs and Junior, Laine, Urwerk, MB&F, Bulgari, Credor, Romain Gauthier, Blancpain and Greubel Forsay. I may be missing something.

Interesting set of watches...

GTG was in NYC?

Yes, but to be clear unrelated to and independent of the forum.

The last forum GTG I recall was for Pateks exhibition several years ago.

That GF is just incredible.
