Horological Meandering

I have aquired a couple of vintage pieces in the last few weeks, but due to the IGOTT build up i didnt think it was the time to post them until now. I purchased this piece several weeks ago and having researched it a bit i am led to believe that it is not...

thanks matey. price wise it was a bit more than i usually spend, about the same as the Enicar, but price is not important as all my '64's are keepers. your welcome to come over anytime you like as you know. i'm considering having a casino themed house war...

its always a pleasure to teach someone just a little something Art. if you google it you will find pics of the several versions of Ultra-Deep they do. if you cant find one of these you may find another one you like just as much. from what i know of the U-...

there are actually a huge number of 36mm SC’s, but they are often from brands no one has ever heard of using so not overly collectable. this is one of the few good brands to use the smaller case. best Graham

You did well, and even better to reposition the bezel and replace the correct crystal without damage. I have an internal bezel dive watch (a Zodiac Sea Wolf SST) and my watchmaker advised me to live with a small chip in the crystal on the otherwise excell... 

as you know, finding a good ‘un is all down to time and luck. the repair was even luckier as i do tend to break watches rather than repair them 1EBCBB37-D347-4DB8-A708-E1A306B34B5E}mid://00000024/!x-usc:cid:88BA8735836F47109378A00E1A347803@SonyVaioV...

i’m not a natural author, more used to factual reports............. sorry i said factual, i meant police reports and sometimes find it hard to make things interesting so glad you liked it. a nice piece for the ever growing 1964 collection. best Grah...

It's a great vintage diver, from one of the most desirable periods in history for these types of watches. Why wouldn't fans of divers be drawn to it? I think the dial is extremely attractive, and the unusual hands do not bother me in the least. Enjoy your... 

thanks Daos, its a really pretty dial isnt it and the hands enhance it rather than detract i think. this post is in a backlog of new aquisitions waiting to be posted in amongst or after IGOTT posts so look forward to more. as for the leg, the only pain is...

A lovely watch the Benrus, I've actually handled one - although many years ago - and it is a quality watch. Given the military pedigree of Benrus it is a great addition to your theme.
