“The love between father & daughter knows no distance”

Jun 19, 2018,05:26 AM

My little girl is turning 14 and what could be the best present from a watchaholic dad. Managed to find a NOS 26mm Rolex ladies steel gold datejust with my friendly jeweller. Though her birthday is in August but Iam too excited to see it on her wrist...Her first expensive watch was a teddy bear Hublot and then ladies Dior watch when she was 11. My wife will be upset but i see it as a timeless gift and something which will bring her close to my passion and you may not know she becomes a watch freak like us...

that's a lot of watch for a 14 year old, hope she is responsible. Just an opinion, not that it was asked for.

Yes sir she is..

She has maintained her Hublot and Dior well and wears her swatch to school. In today’s time kids demand designer’s shoes and bags which cost an Arm and a leg. So in my opinion this was investment grade , enjoyment and attachment with parents.

You are fortunate that she

appreciates nice watches. Most 14 year old kids use a cell phone or Apple watch to tell time, or depend on someone else to tell them. Some can't even read the time on an analog watch. Tell a kid it is "quarter to 6" and see what response you get.

At least my oldest son

will listen to me when I talk watches, but I think it's just to humor me somewhat. It's difficult to really find someone who will listen once you get away from the forums. I have found a couple of people who really will listen and seem interested in watch...

With all due respect:

"kids demand" My parents would have kicked me in the ass. And righteously so.

At some point in time you got to see the other side of the coin. Sense of responsibility , trust & special bond ...might be the outcome . My son got my precision Rolex at the age of 15. He displayed fantastic skills and still enjoys the watch amongst his ...

don t misunderstand ,finally i ve decided

She is a very lucky daughter. I have two daughters , and some of my watches will be my gift for them on their special occasion.
