At 18,000 BPH it "ticks" 5 times per second so if you look close you can easily see it "jump" those 5 steps every second, at least with a full sized second hand -- not as easy to see with a small sub-second hand.


At 21,600 BPH, it ticks 6 times per second.

28,800 BPH, 8 per second.

36,000 BPH, 10 per second.

At 36,000 the "ticks" are difficult to see, at least for me.

Smooth as glass and very satisfying to watch the clean sweep of the seconds hand.

Although not 100% mechanical, the smoothest may be this one...
