What's a jaw dropping collection!

Thanks for posting and I can look at these photos all day long. I’ve recently developed a great interest in military chronographs and all these are dream pieces to have. As others have mentioned, the missing pieces to complete the family are perhaps the Lemania 1872 “Viggen” and the Universal CP1. If you consider civilian versions too, there are the Tissot Navigator, Bulova Marine Star and the Excelsior Park Monte Carlo, too. They all had the same design cues and used the 817 case, identical to the Lemania “Viggen” and obviously the Breitling 817, as the name suggested. The Sinn Bund was really just a re-dial Heuer Bund during service, so it’s good to have but really not necessary. Keep up the good work and I am looking forward to your next post on them.

I think I had promised last week to post a family portrait of the CP-1 and CP-2 type military watches. Well, here you are. Hope you like it.

The three Heuers are obviously "Bund" versions (plain, 3H, Sternzeit Reguliert) and the two on the left and the one at the front are Italian Army versions. What is quite interesting is the comparably small size of the Breitling 817. It is also the only on...

Impressive! [nt]

Everything I learned at the beginning was from WatchFred. You are not him, are you??? I see from Fred that there is a Bulova one. That might be the only one you miss besides Sinn??

Thanks Joepny! No, I am not WatchFred, I am HSTE or therustywatchguy on Instagram.

What’s Missing?

If I am not mistaken, CP-1 and CP-2 are Italian Defence specifications. Were Heuers issued to the Italian forces? If not, then you may be looking for watches that have a similar look to those meeting CP-1 and CP-2 specifications, but with actual military ...

You are right, CP is a specification of the Italian Army which is why I called it…
