Customization has no limits, to each his own. Vte ...

Putting a Nazi swastika on a watch is not a case of "to each his own"

Whoever performed this customization should not receive any more business.

100 from me on that!

That's really offensive

On the plus side if you see someone wearing the universally recognized symbol of hatred and racism on their wrist you know exactly who you're dealing with.

This is bad taste! [nt]

I was told that it is fairly common in the Hindu religion. I think it is used for luck or protection. Was usually on storefronts and sometimes in powder or chalk on the floor in front of doors. Of course I could be wrong and this may not be custom work fo...

I've read the same.

That symbol existed long before the early-mid 1900's. One of many objects stolen and abused by Hiter's regime. Sadly they tainted this symbol for much of the world by parading it front and center most places they went.

Two symbols that have ABSOLUTELY nothing in common.

I am offended as a citizen of the world and as a martial artist.

The offensive photo has been removed....

In the interests of our community. I hope that everyone agrees. I am sure that amongst others, Rolex would be extremely offended.

Yes a separate photo ...

Of a swastika in the bracelet.

The ying-yang could maybe be considered customization,

 By: Thomas_3 : November 18th, 2019-15:44
the Swastika, NO WAY. I saw the picture before it was removed.

I didn't see the "offending" photos so I'm unsure of the context, but...

Remember that symbol is also used in Buddhism and is thousands of years older than the corrupted appropriation of it by the National Socialists of Germany. Here is but one article briefly explaining the Buddhist use of it: CLICK HERE If the remaining phot...

I didn’t see the earlier pics. Was the other insignia maybe derived from the Asian version?

In which case maybe it wasn’t looking to depict the Nazi symbol? As totally offensive as the latter is I wonder if a greater understanding of history and the universal ancient and still present symbol as seen in Asia - both Hindu & Buddhist - can’t it be ...

Directional difference but makes all the difference.

I haven’t seen the offending photograph but if you check which way the swastika is oriented, it should give you the intent. Being a Hindu I am perfectly fine with the swastika as a symbol, as I have grown up with it playing a large role in religious cerem...

I’m late to the party so I missed the offensive picture , but as others pointed it out the symbol was and is used by ancient cultures all around the world in the most positive way .

Before passing judgement, one should know the owner and the reason he decorated his watch with it ... So dear citizens of the world don’t judge the book by the cover . With all this being said I would definitely not customize my watches with this symbol o...

Buddhist, Hindu and even native American people have all used some variation of the symbol

However due to unfortunate events in recent history a lot of people who see any version of a twisted cross will react with emotion and not bother thinking about the context. With that in mind displaying it on one's person is in poor taste.

You mean the far left.

 By: reintitan : November 19th, 2019-01:44
Antifa and the like. And fascism is an extremist left-wing ideology.

Extreme, left or right isn’t good in politics but ...

The majority of scholars identify Nazism in both theory and practice as a form of far-right politics.

It's a bit confusing as most of the people that identify as national socialists these days are far right in their views

 By: mpg13 : November 19th, 2019-03:09
The truth though is national socialism is the ultimate expression of the left. People giving up responsibility for themselves and letting someone else make all their decisions for them. Just my opinion.

This Ying Yang symbol on one link i can understand. Nothing wrong with that imho
