large numbers from the 1940's -1970's

It is most likely a FHF 60 or an ST 60, the first version was not shock protected, later models had incabloc fitted.
It was a reliable movement that gave good service.

As others have said it is unfortunate that there is no interest or value to these watches.

If I remember correctly this type of faceted crystal was called " A sapphire crystal" due the the faceted edge of the acrylic.

It was owned by my late grand mother. Passed away 17 years ago and just came across it when moving some stuff again. Didn't pay too much attention to it when I was younger but just wanted to make sure it wasn't something I should have been keeping better ... 

Almost certainly not a LeCoultre. My sense is that 'LW' . . .

. . . is the name of the casemaker. I'm familiar with a few American casemakers, including Jonell, Wadsworth, and L+K, but 'LW' doesn't ring a bell. Perhaps it stands for 'Liberty Watch(es)'? Best, Art
