The strap width is 16mm which

is small by today's standard.
And you are right, it is still wearable with a small wrist.
The movement definitely needs a servicing - it is slow by some 20s over six hours.
I just need to find a good watchmaker and as I know no one. /W72

Found this Longines Ultra Chron in the drawer, forgotten and neglected. It still runs but not sure if it is within the wearable limits. Put it together with some old items. Thought I share this Monday discovery here. /W72 ...

Like Sleeping Beauty, resting for decades . . .

. . . in silent repose, and brought back to life! Fabulous case design, and if memory serves correct, one of the last movements Longines created. Congrats, Art

Thanks Art, my guess it is a 421 inside...

I cannot recall for certain when this piece came to me - circa 1969/70?? Just love the smooth/fast beating of the second hand. It is a 10K gold filled case and came with a bracelet. ,,, almost 50 years.... I must say time really flies..... /W72

'69 was my guess, too . . .

. . . as the C-case design was most popular around that time. If you're ever in So Cal, let me know - my watchmaker would be able to service your heirloom with the sympathy and attention it deserves. Best, Art
