Horological Meandering

For my upcoming trip to SE Asia, I have decided to just bring one watch, which I will be wearing throughout my travels. One reason is to bond with it for about 3 weeks and another is to be worry free, when it comes to luggage and hotel safes. I have narro...  

Both are solid contenders. Perhaps the omega?

Pros for the Omega would be the following: light and comfort on the wrist, less conspicuous and great lume.

I should have it on the dark blue one that comes with it.

No message body

. . . at the last minute.

. . . it's just that some decisions take longer than others ;-) . . .

that ceramic bezel on the omega can take a lot more beating. Wish you a pleasant trip to Asia and remember to keep hydrated at all time. 🥂 Jen

probably the omega as it would stand more against scratches.... But both would be a great companion

but since the Omega entered the equation, I'm in two minds.

It will be also a better fitting choice for evening wear. Have a safe and nice trip.

Which is likely happen on travelling

First, the black luminova on the AP is practically useless in the dark. Here the Omega is miles ahead. Second, the rotating bezel/ring. I use it many times a day as a convenient chronograph alternative. Consequently, I hate fiddling around with a second c... 

Agree the Omega's lume is just tops and lasts throughout the night whilst the AP's is no where to be seen. Regarding the bezel, for ease of use, the Omega wins. However, I find the crown of the helium valve to be of no practical use unless you are a satur...  

... however, it is some kind of tradition with Omega, meanwhile. So who are we to argue against a classic? Marcus

because the AP has black luminova- the regular ro diver has decent luminova...

I find that the omega bezel is a tad more difficult to use because the grips are wider...

Coming so late to the party I can only offer that I was immediately struck by the Omega. A diver, yet quite at home at the roulette table. (You were planning numerous evenings at the casino, were you not?) And I agree with fewer scratch worries; the pract...

The combination of scratch resistance, lume, and overall discreteness makes it an awesome choice.

I would go with the Royal Oak Offshore... I think the time is easier to read with the white face, even with the phone a watch with date is nice to have when traveling. Watches are meant to be used, so unless I am chopping wood, clearing brush, cleaning ra... 

Going against the tide sometimes pays off and in this case I haven't written off the ROO just yet but it's hard not to listen to the majority. As for the camera, I like to keep it simple and travel light - the Q. cheers fernando
