If I may ask, What did the buyer give as a reason for his chargeback?

He said that he did not authorize the transaction. He brought up the dispute with his bank and paypal.

It helps if the buyer has a verified PayPal account and confirmed address but even that's not guaranteed to protect you. Even wire transfers can be reversed. Knowing something about the buyer is the only real safeguard. I'm sorry for your loss. Best, Mart...

It passes thru correspondent bank/s. So i think it would be unwieldy. I can imagine for a simple bank to bank transfer within same jurisdiction and you invoke fraud/money laundering. Moreso if same bank transfer. Easy to reverse.

In my experience I know this to be possible From the US, from Europe and from China too. Anyway best thing to do is to check with each bank.

Wire transfers are irreversible once it is accepted by recipient bank. I have experienced banks rejecting wires due to suspicion of money laundering. But once it hits the destination account, irreversible. I guess the instances of it being reversed would ...

It's terrible, I just hope that more collectors know about this to be aware. I had no idea about these chargeback scams.

Really really really comfortable with the other party, and make sure a wire is done.

I followed all the correct procedures and shipped to his PayPal address.

The more exposure these type of incidents can have the better it is for everyone. I hope that it doesn't happen to anyone else.

I hope you can resolve this issue one way or another. Same thing here: I stopped using Paypal years ago for various and similar issues.
