Thanks for the kind words gents. This is me. I’ve been long time lurker here and be very low key in real life till this moment. Low key won’t do the job anymore so I have come up to the surface to spread the news, wishing more people in the watch community can keep an eye. I know I’ve made multiple mistakes in this event and now I can’t be more devastating.

Really sad, thanks for sharing this Viken. Of course, leaving an entire watch collection at home is never advisable, even for a few hours; hopefully, this terrible story will serve as a reminder to all of our readers.

Kind of amazing to have all these sitting in a closet. Even if moving, leave them at your old bank and set up a new location for them before moving them. Some cool pieces too. It is sad these can get resold and that retailer/ auction don't do their dilige...

Maybe know who he actually is (not sure identifying pictures on his accounts), and watch his movements. I know people can have pictures triangulation by distinguishing features in the environment. I believe there is software for this, hence why I usually ...
+1, I'm definitely no expert here, but sometimes it just takes me a few minutes to precisely identify a person or location, so I can only imagine what a smart and/or well-organized "professional" (i.e. criminal!) armed with a good software can do! ;-)

That was a great collection. Feel for the collector, he must just feel awful given the circumstances. Given the rarity of some of these pieces, they cannot be easily serviced by a third party. So hopefully they will gradually resurface and eventually lead...

I post only humble peaces like my Revue Thommen. Nobody wil notice it, and only experts wil know that it was the presidents watch. So much history and available for an apple and an egg. Sure the Vulcain is on my wishlist, because i want the crickets hear....

There will be difference in opinion relating to role of social media...but
if thieves could break into museums, we just need to be more aware and careful. This type of burglary is unlikely to be a random break in.
