Are you wearing it in the swimming pool or beach? Are you feel confident in the 100 mtr WR without screw down crown?

Asking your thought on these..

Ok, so i have crossed the new IWC Ingenieur from my list because i don't think its worth 12K , dislike the crown guard and lack of quick release bracelet. My next watch will be one of these : New Bulgari Octo Roma. 41 mm, thickness 9.15 mm. With screw dow...

I see your dilemma

Like both but would prefer the Cartier. Would take the bigger one (with date). Cartier would be easier to sell in case. Had these ... ...

Thank you for your input. May i know what issue you have on your Bulgari?

I mean, what make you prefer Cartier than Bulgari, aside from resale value?

I had no issues with the Bulgari.

A very nice watch, felt much bigger than the Cartier. I gave it on payment for another watch. Not the Cartier. Had the chance to give the Bulgari to the workshop in Neuchatel for service. Excellent Service, nice people. I am sure you will never come in to...

I think every watch has chance to get some problem to have it serviced.

Even Cartier Thanks for your input. The Octo indeed wears bigger because of the octagonal case and wide bracelet. Definitely i have to try it.

There have been no problems.

Just a service.

Thank you, my friend

Both are beautiful and I see your problem in deciding.

I am a big Santos fan, but to be honest, not this one. I prefer previous models. To me, compared to the Santos, the Bulgair looks sleek, modern, easy to read. I find mine fists comforably on the wrist. I prefer bigger than smaller watches, so that is a pl...

Agree that the Octo line is fresh in terms of design,

In the sea of integrated bracelet watches. Thanks for the opinion

After so many years, finally, Luminova on the Octo ....

.... which actually is tempting me to replace my classic Octo with this model. Regarding the size: Don't underestimate the appearance of the octogonal case, compared to a classic circular one. I have a wide wrist (currently wearing a 46mm Breitling), but ...

Thanks Marcus. But it it what i am afraid of.

My wrist is 6.2", round. My biggest watch is Omega moonwatch 42 mm. I have to make sure that the new Octo, in 41 mm, does not wear like 43 mm or so.

2-2 then

 By: hoseachandra : May 3rd, 2023-14:18

The watch is not yet come to boutiques (i think July ).

 By: hoseachandra : May 3rd, 2023-14:51
But i had chance to try the previous generation, with same 41 mm but more angular lugs. The lugs were not hanging, the watch wore comfortably, but it does not look "classy". Instead, it looks like very modern watch

This is a wrist shot a few months ago

Previous generation of Octo Roma (on strap) Here is the Octo Roma Worldtimer. Same size but thinner bezel and larger dial size due to the worltimer display. ...

The Santos would be my choice …

It will withstand changing fashion and trends.

To me there's no contest

Get the santos medium. I bought one a while ago and I've been wearing it daily. It's absolutely stunning and perfectly proportioned. The Octo Roma is not even in the same league. It's huge and the design doesn't work. The Santos is an icon and forever wil...

Thanks. 4-2 for santos.

I haven't had the chance to swim with it yet

 By: andrea~ : May 3rd, 2023-14:56
But I have washed it multiple times under tap water and I feel confident about the 100m wr. As long as the rating is over 100m I don't see a problem with going swimming with it on...

Another vote for the Santos.

A terrific Cartier, styled so well and in a good size. The Octos are very well done, but rather more stylized off the beaten path. That can be good and bad, depending on your preferences. I think the 41mm Octo will be very large and the minimal bracelet t...

Thanks John. A very well thought. My only concern about Octo is how it wears on my small wrist.

 By: hoseachandra : May 3rd, 2023-22:36
The date is quite balanced IMO, they deliberately make it white and the size is match with opposite indice at 9. My concern with Santos is the non screw down crown and the legibility. 6-2 for santos.

Both look great ! Do you plan to

 By: GLau : May 4th, 2023-15:07
swim with these watches ? If no, then IMO go for the way that fits better on your wrist.

Yes i will swim with those watches. From what i have read elsewhere, Santos is safe for swim

My concern now is about the legibility of the blue dial santos. The mettalic romans are useless and even make the dial look abit cheap
