Look mom, one hand...

How simple do you like you watch to be? For me, I actually prefer having a moving seconds hand but 2-hands is a minimum, other than jumping hours in some case the brand MeisterSinger. The balanced and symmetrical dial is great looking, elegant though. ...

I personally like the small seconds dial the most, generally speaking.

But we havent seen many new Ellipse with black dial here yet, so thanks for sharing it a bit more often recently!

Still in honeymoon for the Golden Ellipse so ...

pls excuse if I posted too often Looking past histories, I don't see black dial ones and the latest PP magazine mentioned an interested ref 3605 and say it's the most collectible since it's using the same automatic movement as the 3700 and is the only one...

Genta’s Golden Ellipse

 By: pongster : August 4th, 2020-18:46
is a work of art indeed

Actually the Golden Ellipse was not designed by Genta...

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 4th, 2020-20:40
It’s by Patek Philippe’s designer but I can’t find the name

Wow. All along i thought

 By: pongster : August 4th, 2020-22:22
And there are publications that say thetruthaboutwatches.com

I love the Ellipse.

 By: ChristianDK : August 4th, 2020-16:29
I have often thought about adding it to my collection. There are other targets though.

He he, ain’t that the truth.

 By: ChristianDK : August 5th, 2020-08:01
I now have a one watch pr year policy after too much expensive shopping the last few years. I can consider an ellipse in 2027 😳😉

lol

 By: ChristianDK : August 5th, 2020-09:50
I think we all have. Resolution made in 2016. Implementation still pending 😎😉

One watch per year commitment is great already...

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 5th, 2020-08:33
I have to beg for one watch per year

Nice

 By: pongster : August 4th, 2020-17:16
But am really eyeing a 24 hour one hander. Most likely meistersinger.

They sure have their fans...

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 4th, 2020-17:32
I’m more towards Jumping Hour if I go for a one hander

Here’s the close up and indeed it’s special

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 5th, 2020-08:39

Congratulations to the whole collection. 👍

 By: geross : August 4th, 2020-20:39
Particularly like your Ellipse. I should get one too. Perhaps in the future. In the meantime at least I have an Ellipse key ring. Very elegant. Cheers. 🍻 Geross. ...

That's a nice key chain and I heard PP made these in Gold...

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 4th, 2020-21:09
even the Blue is a special heated gold...Now you ought to get an Ellipse to match the nice accessory Geross.

Congrats to the Tiffany Ellipse

By: COUNT DE MONET : August 4th, 2020-22:29
I am late but still it is a giant catch! You got this Ellipse from your AD or from Tiffany? I saw the Lange and must say it is a cool, cool watch.

No problem Count and appreciate your kind comments...

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 4th, 2020-22:42
Yes I got it thru Tiffany and they are an AD too! There are 4 locations in US where you can get these double signed PP. The Saxonia Thin Copper Blue dial is very well done indeed.

You mean the T-PP?

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 5th, 2020-07:19
The one without stamp is available in many AD windows, when Ted-Lo posted the NYC Wempe, it was right there.

Yes, the T-PP ... sighhhh [nt]

Gorgeous trio!

 By: tempusfugit : August 4th, 2020-22:29
The Golden Ellipse is sheer delight. Congratulations on a difficult choice when it comes to selecting one for an evening out (whenever that is possible). tempusfugit

It’s quite a delight too hearing the Golden Ellipse has gotten so many nice compliments....

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 4th, 2020-22:45
But not many actually buys them and they are readily available in ADs display case, haha... Thank you so much and if there are events for such watches, my wife will help to choose first

I prefer two hands, but it all depends on the watch. I mean, I prefer a very nice two hands watch than an ugly three hands one. Or at least less nice looking.

 By: amanico : August 4th, 2020-22:54
This one is one of my favorite and it is a three hands: This one too, bu it is a two hands. So you see, this is not a matter of a number of hands. ...

That’s true and that Langematk Anniversary is hard to beat...

 By: Clueless_Collector : August 4th, 2020-23:23
I didn’t know this JLC model, very clean and pure too.

I love the Ellipse!

 By: JTCL : August 5th, 2020-04:15
Still looking for a WG blue dialled one.. thanks for sharing 😊

Yes the dauphine hands work well with the ellipse too!

 By: JTCL : August 5th, 2020-09:02
Though personally I would much prefer no date on such a dressy piece.
