Spangles is correct.

Here's a little more information.

From the official Rolex websiteAll Oyster Perpetual models are equipped with the Oyster case, providing the movement with optimal protection against water, dust and shocks. Before being shipped, every Oyster watch is immersed in water and subjected to a pressure 10 percent greater than that found at the depth to which it is guaranteed – 25 percent more in the case of divers’ watches. This means that every Rolex Oyster is not just capable of resisting at least 100 metres of water pressure. It has actually done so.

If you follow the link this is mentioned about halfway down the page.

DateJust Water Resistance

Water resistance rating on a DateJust is 100 meters, correct?

Yes, but it is an actual 100m, you can dive with it if it's been pressure checked.

Hodinkee, for all its flaws, did a neat profile of a woman who has been diving for decades. She dives with a yellow gold dj36 and has for years.

My datejust is from 1974

The 1601 is rated 50m - I pressure test it to 100m - no problem. And I have been diving with it too.

Spangles is correct.

I do not know if I would dive with it however. WR is an odd thing. They test the watch to static water pressure of whatever it is. But, any motion of the water drastically increases the effective pressure. Thus, watches certified to 30 meters WR should be...
