quick thought...

As the 2019 holiday season nears, one wonders if the manufacturers will present more new watches in the next few weeks to stimulate holiday purchases, given that SIHH 2020 has been pushed back to the last week of April 2020, and Baselworld immediately follows thereafter in May 2020. Typically, December has brought announcements of new releases to be presented in January at SIHH, but that is no longer possible.
Add this to the fact that so many watches considered desirable are not even available for purchase (Rolex, anyone?), and so many watches announced at SIHH 2019, let alone BW2019, have not even hit the market (both ADs and boutiques) (e.g. JLC new guilloche watches with increased PR), one wonders whether or not the manufacturers have generated any significant revenues in 2019, because they certainly seem to be in no rush to push product to their vendors :-0

Well, the next few weeks will certainly be interesting, because even if there are announcements of a few new worthy watches for the 2019 holiday season, it is unclear whether any of these new pieces would even be available for purchase before 2021 at this rate...

Hodinkee, Philips Auction house (surprise?), Bucherer, Harrods, even football, rugby teams etc. new watch release happens every month now so what’s the point of having trade shows, lol....

Me too...why is this co-Branding all of a sudden?

I think it’s all because of the good auction results from the Patek Philippe + Tiffany, Cubelin, etc watches in today’s situation.
