Just waiting for the first full moon in my new honeymoon with my IWC 3754-07. But: The most important time of the year for every owner of a PC with a full year display is coming soon. 🙏 I am torn. On the one hand, you want to celebrate the newcoming year ...

I don't want to take off the watch. Is your proposal a good solution? The iPhone in one hand filming, the glass of sparkling wine or champagne in the other. „Unfortunately, I can't hug you and wish you all the best. Unfortunately I don't have a free hand.... 

drink the champagne with your family and then, in the peace and comfort of your favorite armchair push back the crown and enjoy the magic! 🍾🎄🎊

Hoping the watch doesn’t get damaged...

Do you know how big the risk is of dust entering if the crown is not screwed down?

I’m too old to stay up til midnight. BTW this is not a quick-change movement! Expect 2-3 hours for the process to complete itself on all subdials. They change in sequence- I’ll post pics if you like. Probably start at 11 and end by 2 am Cazalea

I forgot. The changes don't happen all at once. Do you remember, when the year indicator changes the ones digit?

You can't film it because a feature-length, 2-hr movie of watch dials not changing won't even keep the owner awake. That's why in 17 years of owning this watch I only have a couple sequences... I gave up this year and came back at 6 am to find it changed....  

Thanks a lot for them. Good to know that the year changes not too near at midnight. And it is exciting (at least for a watch nerd like me) that obviously also the month indicator changes before the day and date. So I can cherish the hope that I have enoug...

The only thing worse than watching a slow watch year change is trying to watch two without banging your head against the wall, crying "Why do I have this foolish hobby/obsession?" ...  

So funny!! And with these two beasts you obviously have a problem. This hobby / addiction drives us all to weird behavior and actions. We are hopelessly lost... LOLLL Best Thomas

BUT here the star for me is the year indicator. I want to watch the change from „2020“ to „2021“. In epic breadth but socially adequate. ☺️

how interesting it is for my family to watch the hundredths of a millimeter changes in the year slider and the changes of the other indicators for two or more hours (as cazalea has so aptly and impressively illustrated). LOL

I simply missed it. Hahahahaha. Thinking that the „movie“ ((c) cazalea) would take 2 hours I realized at 00:26 that all changes including the change of the full year window had happened already. So: next year - new chance! LOL Best Thomas P.S.: There was ...  

It might have started early. I suppose it depends on who assembled the watch and how much slack is in the various systems. Mine hasn’t started yet (West Coast)

When I looked at the dial at 23:45 for the last time, nothing had changed so far. Perhaps it is a later generation? My 3750 first generation also needed a longer time. Best Thomas
