not familiar with Breitling vintage and less attracted to current Breitling activities under the previous IWC guy....but....
this one looks simply a gorgeous piece...if indeed genuine....

I’m also not a big fan of Breitling but this watch was given to me by someone who had no use for it. So now I’m trying to learn more about it.

It looks all correct to me. 1940 is the reference number.
A vintage movement ( Venus 195 ) housed in a more modern watch circa 1980 / 1990. It seems it is a limited edition of 50 pieces. Best, Nicolas
