Possibly. So far you're mostly right.

Maybe the Octo Solotempo and Finissimo design just relates better with thin watches.  Who knows.  I bet they have all the prototypes at their factory of thick watches in the Solotempo/Finissimo shape.  And it probably just looked too bulky.

My impression : very well built. The bracelet on steel model is very high quality, comfortable and supple. As good as rolex jubilee and iwc pilots. The size is acceptable on my 6.5 inch wrist. No hanging lugs. Unfortunately the black DLC model is not avai...

Beautiful

It looks wonderful on your wrist.

I like the blue dial version and the black version. The one thing on the black version is that I sometimes wished it came on a different type of strap.

But the current one already has a DLC buckle I bet. Then again, if a client scratches the DLC buckle, replacing a buckle isn't too bad from a cost perspective.

Yes, precisely correct. The cost of DLC buckle will be much less than an entire DLC bracelet

But i could be wrong and maybe we will see DLC bracelet sold separately for the black model

Time will tell!

Not a huge fan of Roma case.

The world timer looks great but I would still prefer it in Octo Solotempo case...

They almost definitely tried both cases, and probably Fabrizio eventually chose to go in the "Roma" shape in the end.

I'm trying to picture this watch in the Solotempo case, and I can't say you're wrong, it probably would look good in that case!

Probably true

I feel like Bulgari is using the classic Octo design for the ultra thin watches ( + the simple Solotempo) and the Roma Octo for the complicated and not necessarily thin watches like the world timer / minute repeaters ( + the base Roma). Perhaps in a way t...
